How to List Your Fluxer Community on fluxer.lol
fluxer.lol is a community-driven directory for discovering Fluxer communities and bots. Listing your community here puts it in front of people browsing by topic, searching for specific interests, or just looking for somewhere new to hang out.
Before You Start
You'll need two things before you can submit:
- A community icon. Listings require your community to have an icon. Go to Community Settings > Overview to upload one if you haven't already.
- A working invite link. We use your invite link to pull in your community's details. Make sure you have one that hasn't expired, a permanent invite link (set to never expire) works best.
If you haven't created a community yet, start with How to Create a Fluxer Community from Scratch.
Submitting Your Community
- Sign in to fluxer.lol with your Fluxer account.
- Open your dashboard and click Add Community.
- Paste your community's invite code. fluxer.lol checks the code and pulls in your community's name, icon, and member count automatically.
- Fill in the listing details:
- URL - a short, lowercase identifier for your listing's URL (e.g.,
fluxer.lol/my-community). Must be at least 3 characters, letters and hyphens only, and unique across the directory. - Short description - one to two sentences summarizing what your community is about. This shows up in browse results and search.
- Long description - a more detailed description that appears on your listing page.
- Tags - pick 1 to 5 tags that describe your community's topic or focus.
- URL - a short, lowercase identifier for your listing's URL (e.g.,
- Submit your listing.
After submitting, your listing goes into review. More on that below.
Writing a Good Description
The short description is the first thing people see when browsing the directory. Make it count.
- Lead with what your community is about, not a greeting or filler.
- Be specific. "A community for indie game developers to share work and find collaborators" beats "A fun community for gamers."
- Use the full 150 characters if you need them, but don't pad it out.
The long description is your chance to go deeper. Explain what members can expect, what makes your community different, and what kind of content or conversations happen there. Use Markdown formatting to keep it readable: break up text with headings, lists, or bold text for emphasis.
Choosing Tags
Tags determine where your community appears when people filter or search the directory. Pick tags that genuinely describe your community's focus.
- Choose the most specific tags that apply. If your community is about pixel art, pick that over a generic "art" tag.
- Use many tags if your community spans multiple topics, but don't add tags just to fill them. Irrelevant tags make your listing harder to find, not easier.
- Think about what someone would search for when looking for a community like yours.
After You Submit
Your listing starts in a pending status. You can check its status any time from your dashboard, where all your submissions show up.
If your listing is approved, it goes live in the directory and becomes searchable. Your community's icon, name, and member count stay synced with Fluxer automatically.
If your listing is rejected, you can edit your submission and it will automatically go back into the review queue. Common reasons for rejection include missing icons, empty or unhelpful descriptions, and tags that don't match the community's actual topic.
Keeping Your Listing Current
Once your listing is live, you can update it from the dashboard:
- Descriptions and tags can be edited any time to reflect how your community has evolved.
- Invite code can be swapped if your old one expires or you want to use a different one. Updating it re-syncs your community's details from Fluxer.
- Delisting is available if you want to remove your community from the directory. You can always relist later.
A listing with an accurate description and current invite link performs better in the directory. If your community shifts focus or grows into something new, update the listing to match.
